This means that you can choose to have a paper-free prescription. Who is it for? Electronic prescriptions will be of particular benefit if: You have a repeat prescription and don’t want to collect it from your GP every time. You collect your medicines from the same place most of the time. You use a repeat prescription service. What do I have to do? Simply nominate Rx Pharmacy to receive your electronic prescription and we will do the rest. 3 reasons to use Electronic Prescriptions. 1) You can choose a pharmacy that suits you. 2) Less trips to your GP to collect repeat prescriptions. 3) Free service. To nominate Rx Pharmacy, register on this website, fill in a form in store, contact us on 0121 356 3620 and we will send you a pre-paid envelope with a nomination form or ask your GP to set your nomination for you. You are free to choose where you want your prescriptions to be dispensed.

Pharmacy First is a FREE minor ailment scheme. It is available FREE to any patient under the age of 16 who is registered with a participating surgery. To be eligible for the Pharmacy First Scheme you need to provide your child's NHS number. The NHS number is written on your NHS medical card. If you do not have a medical card you can get your NHS number from your doctors surgery. Your NHS number can also be found on any hospital letter that you have received. For children the NHS number can also be found in your childs red book. This scheme is funded by the NHS.

During our opening hours we will be able to provide a dispensing service for your NHS prescription, whether it is from your Doctor, Dentist or Prescribing Nurse. In addition we dispense private prescriptions. Also, we are now able to offer free printed information on common illnesses, to all our customers. We have a fully computerised patient medication records system, which stores all your medication records and alerts the pharmacist to possible drug interactions. Naturally, information held about patients is confidential and covered by the Data Protection Act. In the unlikely event that we do not have a particular medicine in stock, usually we will obtain it for you the same day. NEW! We are now able to receive your prescription details electronically straight from your doctors surgery, by scanning the barcode along the side. Don't worry, you will still have the green prescription form but this is a fast and more accurate way for us to produce your prescription.

Our Stop Smoking Service is available to all smokers who are ready to quit. If you are exempt from prescription fees you do not need to pay. If you pay for your prescriptions there is a single charge of £9.35. This will cover 12 weeks of Nicotine Replacement Therapy.
